Job vacancy - Sales and Business Development manager

We are looking to add sales and business development talent to our small, dynamic team, reporting directly to the CEO.

This position offers a great opportunity to build and execute a marketing and business development strategy developing and maintaining a portfolio of accounts within the chemicals industry (pharmaceutical, CROs, chemical suppliers and governments) globally. 

Scitegrity is a small, well established supplier of software for regulatory compliance within the pharmaceuticals and chemicals industry. Our expertise and USP is encoding chemical regulations allowing them to be simply and accurately searched via chemical structure.  

Our Controlled Substances Squared platform is used by many of the world's top pharmaceuticals, CROs and specialist chemical suppliers to ensure compliance against complex and ever changing chemical regulations globally, including controlled drugs, chemical weapons, ozone depleting, export control and dual use. ExpediChem streamlines chemicals shipping and trade compliance by calculating the correct tariff code information for international shipping.  

Using our proprietary data sets and algorithms we are also building new services such as the computational assessment of abuse potential for new medicines under development.

What You’ll Do

Build a pipeline by identifying and creating new business opportunities
Define and execute a marketing and business development strategy
Work with the scientific and IT teams by planning/conducting customer presentations, demonstrations, road shows and special events
Continuously monitor market opportunities, and build and execute marketing plans
Manage key accounts, including invoicing.
Produce timely and accurate revenue forecasts
Travel to customers and prospects as needed, although its anticipated much of the time this we be via video conferences.

What You Should Have

Degree in a chemistry related subject. 
At least four years of business experience in the scientific software space (local market knowledge is a plus!) to the chemicals or pharmaceuticals industry
Fluency in English
Some knowledge or exposure to chemical regulations such as controlled drug, REACH or chemicals trade/logistics compliance would be advantageous but not required. 

This is initially a 1 contract with the view of making it a permanent role, depending on performance.

Although we are based in Kent, UK, this role would be open to anyone who is based in the UK, EU and USA 

For the right applicant this can be a full or part time role. Salary £40K - £60K DoE
